SUNNY DAYS AND YOGA AT CANARY ISLANDS PART I

Saludos desde las Islas Canarias! Greetings to everyone from the Canary Islands! In this post I let the pictures speak for themselves. It has been wonderful to escape the winter in Finland to these beautiful islands with my family. First we stayed in Las Palmas, close to the Playa de las Canteras.

The North end of the beach Playa de las Canteras was for surfers. There was nice, relaxed athmosphere at that end of the beach and some cool restaurants to have some tapas and coffee.

The weather there was a bit cloudy during few days of our one week stay in Las Palmas.

So we went to Maspalomas beach at the south of the island and the weather there was so warm and sunny. It felt great to do my yoga practice at the beach.

One day we went to see the old town of Las Palmas.

One day we spent in sunny Puerto Rico at the swimming pool where my cousin was staying with her family. We went to Puerto de Mogan for late lunch, that was a lovely and peaceful small beach to enjoy the lunch next to it.

Roque Nublo at the monutains of the Gran Canary, we met my cousin and her family there to do some hiking.

I was carrying our baby in her Manduka towrds the Roque Nublo - a great way to exercise when on holidays. Our baby was happy and sleeping all the way up and down, it took about 1 hour to go up and down.

We then went to Tenerife by the boat, it took less than 3 hours to get there from Las Palmas.

Yoga by Lago Martianez sea water pools at Puerto de La Cruz. Our baby absolutely loves it when I do some yoga with her laying on her back at my yoga mat.

Its very green in Puerto de la Cruz at the North of Tenerife.

Can you see Teide volcano in the picture above? In Puerto de la Cruz the sand at the beach is black because the soil is volcanic.

We have been staying in Air BnB accommodations in Tenerife we had a juice machine to prepare fresh orange juice for ourselves every morning.

Papas arrugadas - a typical Canarian dish of potatoes and Mojo sauce.

Natarajasana @ the streets of Puerto de la Cruz. Feliz dia de los reyes magos! Its a day of great fiesta today here in Spain, people are celebrating the 3 wise men who went to see baby Jesus after his birth, a special day for children who will receive some more Christmas gifts.  I will post more pictures soon!

💛 Jutta
