MAJORCA - A LOVELY SUNNY ISLAND TO SPEND YOUR HOLIDAYS

Valldemossa village is located in the Tramutana range hills, about 17 km from Palma. There was beautiful green view of mountains everywhere and a lovely village to visit to do some shopping and sightseeing. We went to see the statue that was made for Saint Catalina Thomas, she was born in 15th century in the village of Valldemossa.

We stayed in Cala d'or and Santanyí, the beach above was closest to our holiday home.
There was clear blue water and sandy beaches surrounded by beautiful nature.

 Cala Figuera.
One of the bays we visited during a boat trip that started from Santanyí and took us to see many lovely beaches and landscapes.

Mondrago natural park is just beautiful. We went for a hike and stopped to meditate and to do some yoga at the top of the hill surrounded by the waves.

Nice way to spend time in the evening.                       Cold Gaspazo soup in a hot day, yummy.

Cuevas del Drach "Dragon Caves" are formed by water. It was exciting to visit these approximately 4km long dribbling caves near Porto Cristo. Towards the end of the visit there was a short classical concert performed by musicians on boat. Then we could do a short boat trip at the magical underground lake.

Have any of you been visiting Majorca? I felt that there was so much to do and see although this was my third time spending a holiday week there. First two times I was staying close to the capital Palma. : )
