Why to use coconut during the hot summer months?

Image
I absolutely love coconuts and summer is the time when I can feel best the many benefits when consuming this tropical wonder fruit. Actually coconuts are one of the most nutritious of all fruits there is and there are also many ways you can  consume this precious  tropical fruit in order to reap most of its benefits.                                                 One of my favorite  drinks when practicing yoga during the hot summer months is coconut water. It just cools down the body from inside so well and it really quenches my thirst. Indeed coconut water is a great hydration drink as it contains about 95% water. Actually, fresh coconut water is one of the highest sources of electrolytes, and it can be used instead of a sports drink to prevent dehydration during rigorous exercise or extended periods of physical activity. Me doing a Pincha Mayurasana in a garden during holidays in Pärnu in Estonia last summer. I love practicing yoga outdoors during the summertime

July in Finland is Lovely

Image
For the first time in many years I will spend the entire month of July in Finland. Usually I have been traveling somewhere during this hot summer month as it has been more quiet time for  the yoga studios and perfect time for my holidays. Now I am on my maternity leave and my activities are more limited this time. One month before the due date it is not recommended to fly on an airplane. To be honest I have really enjoyed these much more local holidays that have been about letting go of work schedules and hectic plans that I have usually done for my holidays abroad.  I love to have new experiences and to explore new places so this has been something quite new for me.  This time we have been spending time at the beaches and islands close to our home. It is lovely to wake up slow and then prepare a nice picnic breakfast or brunch and take it to the beach or enjoy it at our backyard without the need to rush anywhere.  I have been able to really slow down and let go.

HOW TO NOT WASTE MONEY ON MATERNITY CLOTHES

Image
I really needed some new clothes as my belly was growing and our holidays in Mallorca in  Cala d'or were about to start soon. I didn't want to spend too much money on maternity clothes but I really wanted some fresh, new, summery clothes to wear after a long winter period. I had been wearing the same old jeans and blouse combo already way too long during my pregnancy time. Solution was a flea market, the best one I know in Finland for ladies-wear is Siivouspäivä flea market http://siivouspaiva.com/en/everyday and the best spot is in Kallio in Karhupuisto. Below few of my travel outfits that I spent only few euros to get from the flea market. Besides that I really liked a lot these clothes and how economic it was to get them, I find it wonderful that it is possible to be so ecological as I will sell them next time to some future mums to be or to some ladies that want to buy bigger size clothes to wear.        This t-shirt was nice to wear during the evening with a long
